Well, funny thing happened on the way to the end of July. The first week of the month conspired with an apparent drop in will power over the next week or so to cause me to actually gain 2 pounds for the month. Oops. My dietitian wasn’t too please, as this was the first month she let me off from doing food journal entries. Well, I’m back to doing those. And I’ve got my will power back finally and I’m stepping back up to the plate to make August a good month to start a long chain of them again.
That’s not to say I won’t have the occasional set-back like this month, but if I can keep them 4-5 months apart, that makes me feel pretty good since in the past I couldn’t usually go more than a month on a diet before going back to my old ways.
Again this month I’ve upped my running, this time the pace, from 6.5 MPH (or 9:13 per mile) to 7.0 MPH (or 8:34 per mile). I also added in the simulated hill routine on the treadmill at level 2 to help add to the burn. It feels really good and I’m back to where I feel like I did some work when I get done. This month my dietitian wants me to juggle my workout routine up some by doing some biking and some other cardio stuff, not just running all the time. So I think I’m going to start doing a really good bike ride on the weekends.
